Spending summers since his youth on the Pacific Ring of Fire’s Mount Hood, the pure energy of molten Earth has influenced Alex’s creative direction and athletic skill. This ski celebrates Alex’s character, where an appreciation for simplicity gives way to raw dynamism; whether that’s a slick show-stopping run at the X Games, or the glowing currents of magma punching through the Earth’s crust.
About the ski
The Studio 1 is a best-in-class freestyle ski designed specifically for terrain park enthusiasts. This twin-tip ski is the result of collaboration between our star-studded athlete roster and expert engineers, delivering precision performance with effortless style.
The Studio 1 is perfect for those who settle for nothing less than the “perfect shot” or flawless trick execution. It features a Poplar and Ash core with Carbon Stringers, providing the ideal balance of lightweight agility and rigid power. A carbon-rubber stomp pad under the binding area ensures durability during heavy landings, and its symmetrical shape allows for smooth switch skiing. Additionally, the 7mm XL sidewall offers exceptional edge hold and protects the wood core.

Full Carbon Weave – Between 8 and 12 strips of carbon, sandwiching either side of the ski’s woodcore, are laid unidirectionally, providing extra stability to the ski, without adding weight to the build. Each carbon strip is woven into the fiberglass to provide strength and stiffness in the full length of the ski.
Sidewall – 7mm XL Sidewalls
XL 2.5mm Edges – Fractions of a millimeter might not sound like much, but when it comes to edges, it adds up. The 2.5mm edges add an extra 25% of height to Faction's standard 2mm edge, making for a stronger and more durable ski.
